Seaport District prices show no signs of abating heading into September
Cheapest listing in the tony enclave is more expensive the average one in Beacon Hill The Seaport District continues to outpace the rest of Boston in terms of housing prices. A new analysis of market-rate listings from real estate research site NeighborhoodX pegs the average Seaport District asking price at $2,160 a square foot as of September.
The analysis defined the district’s boundaries as north of Seaport Boulevard and east of the South Boston Bypass. It also excluded Fort Point. Here’s a breakdown: “To put these prices in context, the most affordable property in the Seaport on a per-square-foot basis is $1,255 a square foot, which is more expensive than the average property in Beacon Hill ($1,217 a square foot),” NeighborhoodX research director Constantine Valhouli said over email. Will Seaport prices ever tank or at least level off? In the near term, it’s unlikely. Seaport’s 150 Seaport Boulevard to be the St. Regis Residences, Boston [Curbed Boston] Seaport District prices
